Is Therapy The New Religion?

It is said that many people are heading down the professional therapy highway and discovering so many insecurities about themselves which for some intensifies dependence on the therapist - the person with the roadmap to their “happiness”.

So, are `inflated` therapists playing God to these desperate clients who believe the therapist has all the answers for them?

Or is it that `compassion` which is fundamental in many religions is also prevalent in therapy? Therapy helps people communicate in a healthy and compassionate way and supports a positive way forward which often religion does not provide for people? What are your views here - therapists, clients and others?

Questioning Irish Immigration Policy

Kevin Myers is one of the only commentators in the Irish media that dares to question Irish immigration policy. We have allowed hundreds of thousands of immigrants into this country without a thought for the consequences. Even the Irish Government have lost count of the numbers of immigrants in the country. If we continue to ignore this fact, our children could be waking up in a country that is more Islamic than Christian and more Asian than Irish. What do you feel yourself?

Sharia Law in the UK - Not on Your Nelly!

Do you endorse introducing other laws into the English Law System such as Sharia Law?

Elevated Therapy says that integration under `English Law` is absolutely essential if we are ever to live together comfortably. Allowing the creeping introduction of Sharia is divisive and merely reinforces the sense that Muslims are living parallel and separate lives. These Sharia Courts are an offense and a case of Lèse majesté or acts of treason. Elevated Therapy believes in the UK that courts outside the Crown are ‘Kangaroo’ courts which are ‘illegitimate’ - and therefore illegal! Elevated Therapy calls on these issues to be clarified.

It is necessary by sharia to abide by the laws of the country one lives in, regardless of the nature of the law, as long as the law doesn’t demand something that is against Islam. It is narrated in the Koran that the prophet Muhammad said: “It is necessary for a Muslim to listen to and obey the ruler, as long as one is not ordered to carry out a sin”.

Elevated Therapy says essentially that if Muslims want sharia they should go and live somewhere where they have it. For us to feel comfortable and secure in our own country today, we need to know that we are not witnessing the establishment of ‘a state within a state’ or that we are not living in some parallel universe.  What do you say?
